Research Associate Position Opening

The ISSP is seeking outstanding candidates for a research associate position in the Materials Design and Characterization Laboratory (MDCL). The successful candidate will collaborate with Prof. Taisuke Ozaki and conduct vigorous theoretical researches on development of efficient and accurate electronic structure methods and its advanced applications including two-dimensional materials and exotic surfaces. The successful candidate is also expected to play an active role in national projects and collaborations with experimental groups and in supervising laboratory activities of the graduate students. The initial appointment is for five years, and is extended for five more years if the performance is satisfactory. The position is now open, and the term will start at April 1st in 2018.
