dear sir,

i am new in transport calculation,
i have a question about the transmission, how can I explain the transmission keeping in view of the band gap ?

What does the meaning of -ve energy in the transmission ?
if you can give any reference regarding explain transmission i will be very thankful to you.

Just google for Landauer-Buttiker formalism. The theory of ballistic transport is explained in almost every condensed matter physics textbook.
