memory issues Date: 2006/08/09 23:33 Name: jessK Dear Dr. Ozaki, I run a small job (10 atoms, 100 Ry cutoff, 12x12x12 k-point mesh) in parallel (10 cpus= 5 nodes with 4 Gb memory each). I noticed that for this job each openmx process asked about 30-40% of memory (~1.5Gb). On other cluster (sgi altix, shared memory), each process uses 10Gb memory. I am a little bit puzzled, because even plane wave calculations for this job use smaller amount of memory than openmx. Is it normal? Thanks, JK
